Girls, Girls, Girls

It seems like there's no shortage of talented and interesting female musicians in music today.  Women dominate on all fronts - from the pop charts with Gaga, Katy Perry, and Beyonce, et. al  to Nicki Minaj in hip-hop and Taylor Swift in country.

Here's some recent music from a few ladies that make me glad for gender equality.

Lissie - "Little Lovin'"

It doesn't have to be complicated.

Lykke Li - "Get Some" (Live on Jimmy Fallon - March 3, 2011)

Like a shotgun, needs an outcome...

Mountain Man - "Sewee Sewee"

This is as close as I get to going to church.

Mavis Staples - "You Are Not Alone"

This song is what music is for.

Crooked Still - "Half of What We Know"

Ok, so they're only 40% female.  I'm ok with that.
